The park celebrates the thousands of pioneers who came through Shawnee in the 1800's as they traveled the Sante Fe Trail. His sculpture of Dick Williams, wagon master hasbeen recreated in native limestone and bronze.  At it's peak, the city saw 600 wagons per week. Interpretive text and photo panels convey Shawnee’s Trail stories.
