Harry S Truman Library

This presidential library's permanent exhibition highlights the personal side of the life of Harry Truman and his family. Featuring many important objects from the Truman Library collections, this exhibition follows the lives of the Truman's primarily through the many letters exchanged between Harry and Bess Truman over the years. Shawnee Indian Mission

Come and see the manual training school attended by Shawnee, Delaware, and other Indian children from 1839-1862. The Shawnee Mission served as an early territorial capitol, supply point on the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails and a camp for Union soldiers during the Civil War. Visit this twelve-acre site and you will experience the rich tapestry of three historic buildings, period rooms and exhibits, special events, workshops and guided tours. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968.

Renaissance Festival

Overland Park Arboretum

The Farmstead is a 12-acre park. It has farm animals, birds of prey, vegetable and flower gardens, a one-room country schoolhouse, old time fishing pond, horse drawn wagon rides and pony rides. Admission is free.

Arabia Steamboat Museum
