Beautiful Backdrops for Recreation

One of Shawnee's strengths and sources of pride is its outstanding parks and recreation facilities. Whether it's a leisurely stroll on a walking trail, sailing on Shawnee Mission Park Lake, playing softball, baseball, basketball, hockey, or volleyball in a recreational league--these resources play a major role in making Shawnee one of the few remaining "livable" communities nationwide.

	3 & 2 Baseball Few youth sports facilities can compare with the offerings of 3&2 Baseball.
	Mid-America West Sports Complex This facility includes 12 outdoor youth softball fields and is home to Okun Fieldhouse.

A variety of softball tournaments are offered on weekends at the Mid-America Sports Complex. From late March through mid-October, teams may play in Qualifying, Invitational or other sponsored softball tournaments.
