Tomahawk Hills Golf Course in northwest Johnson County, built in 1910, is the oldest golf course in the metropolitan area and ranks as one of the area's most challenging public courses.

Set among the picturesque rolling hills adjacent to Shawnee Mission Park and the lowland area of Little Mill Creek, Tomahawk Hills offers patrons a challenging 18-hole championship course of over 6,000 yards which plays to a par 70. The recently renovated course consists of cart paths that run throughout the irrigated course
