Take a step back in time, witness life as our ancestors lived during the first half of the century by walking the grounds of Shawnee Town during Old Shawnee Days, an annual festival honoring our heritage.

Fire in the Sky - July 4th Celebration Merriam and Shawnee, Kansas will partner to host "Flags for Freedom" from Saturday, June 28 - Saturday, July 5, 2008.

Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade - Sunday March 16, 2008. The Irish
American Club and the Shawnee St.
Patrick’s Parade Committee are proud
to host the Parade on Sunday, March 16th
at 1:00 p.m. With the Great Shawnee Duck race immediately following the parade at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Irish or not!

| Pioneer Crossing Park was dedicated Thursday September 20th. Shawnee’s newest park features Shawnee’s role in early trail activity. A life size sculpted mural, figures of key participants, and interpretive text and photo panels convey Shawnee’s Trail stories. (913) 631-5200.
